Extract from an interview with Andrew Smith


Kenja Voice: Why did you want to make this movie?

Andrew: Well.. What do you do if someone promises to be fair and then makes a movie full of lies about you? ... You make our own movie with the facts.

Kenja Voice: How can you make a movie when you are not a movie maker?

Andrew: You learn fast, and it is not just me... I got together with friends of Ken and Jan, who knew Ken and are witnesses to the facts of the story we decided to make  this film together... as a team pooling our resources.

Kenja Voice: To make such a film is quite an undertaking, even financially, how did you get the resources to make it happen?

Andrew: Again... Melissa's film was not only attacking Ken and Jan directly but also many other people... personal friends of Ken and Jan... families and children that all knew and loved Ken... I think we were all so appalled, we could not just sit back and do nothing. That motivated us to make it happen.

Kenja Voice: Weren't you afraid at times of appearing somewhat foolish undertaking this project with so little experience?

Andrew: Yes we had this sort of running joke, that none of us really new what we where doing, especially me, I have been told... But seriously, I suppose that is true in a sense. But if you are afraid of looking foolish you'll never do anything in your life and of course having access to Energy Conversion meant that we could get through any block or stupidity that might have slowed us up.
