Modern day witchhunting
'Burning people at the stake' is the stuff of fable and playwrights – or is it? The modern day witch hunt seems a spreading phenomenon. But the techniques used to spread rumour, fear and mistrust are as old as Joan of Arc.
This technique, of using false sexual assault allegations to target someone, is more and more becoming exposed. More and more it is being used through political agendas to destroy opponents, to personal vendetta’s between neighbors, partners divorcing, and students targeting teachers.it is out of control and something you should became aware of.
All an individual has to do is to make an allegation against another. No witnesses are needed, no proof required. Now, by law, the accused is locked up, without the presumption of bail and can be imprisoned for months or years with no chance to clear his/her name. It is imprisonment before trial.
The techniques are among the followings:
- media hysteria
- accusations of child abuse
- public vilification of accused without proof
- accusations of mental manipulation
- misuse of the legal system
- police trawling replacing investigation
- use of inflammatory terminology to target minority groups – such as pejorative use of labels like 'cults' 'mind control' ‘brainwashing’
